The Selinsing Gold Mine programs aim to further discover sulphide resources and promote Inferred into Indicated Resource, to optimize the economic results of the sulphide project and increase the life of mine, while locating more oxide and leachable sulphide ore to increase current mill feed.
At both Selinsing and Buffalo Reef deposits the sulphide mineralization is still open down dip and also along strike. Exploration drilling was done to test continuity of the high grade zone just beneath Selinsing Pit IV floor and confirmed the accuracy of the current Resource blocks' locations and continuity of the gold high grade zone. Underground potential has been identified for high gold grade sulphide mineralisation at >3 g/t Au at both deposits, encouraging the development of sulphide deep drilling programs.
Metallurgical drilling at BRS has also been completed for sulphide testwork. In addition, representative core sampling for BIOX® Process testwork has been completed throughout the designed LOM Pits.
Exploration trenching and surface sampling were designed to verify opportunities for oxide supply to the current processing plant. Exploration at Felda is aimed toward resource definition and to add new resources, while enabling the Buffalo Reef Central ("BRC") and Buffalo Reef South ("BRS") open pits to be extended at depth.
Geo-metallurgical modelling for Buffalo Reef North ("BRN"), Buffalo Reef South ("BRS") and Felda was completed. The estimated potential leachable gold for oxide and transition zones encourages follow-up confirmation work. Geo-metallurgical testwork was also completed for Buffalo Reef Central (BRC) and Peranggih, and is being used for modeling.
Peranggih Oxide Exploration
The Peranggih area is north of Selinsing and is in the same regional shearing structure as the Selinsing and Buffalo Reef gold deposits. Oxide trenching, geological mapping and surface sampling were executed at Peranggih. An internal geological and resource model for Peranggih has been generated and indicates a potential system containing minable oxide materials, with identified high gold grade zones surrounded by a halo of lower grade mineralization. A geological and initial economic study has commenced and grade control drilling program was completed for an area of future trial mining at Peranggih North. The Company plans to undertake a bulk sampling program of Peranggih ore and preparation is underway to upgrade the access road to connect Peranggih to the Selinsing Gold plant.
