As you all aware of the Covid-19 pandemic has created a great deal of uncertainty with everything going around the world. We hope that you and family stay safe and keep healthy.  

Monument has proactively taken actions at the early stage through an Anti Covid-19 Committee to communicate, guide and help our employees to keep them safe; and implemented a business sustaining plan to ensure the risks of operation interruption to be minimized during this the pandemic accordingly.

In following up the Prime Minister’s Movement Control Order (“MCO”) and its extension, our operations at the Selinsing Gold mine is temporarily suspended from March 18^th to 31^st according to the notice of mining ban issued by the Mineral and Geoscience Department Malaysia, and has been extended up to April 14, 2020 pending state authority response to our immediate relief request. We have direct dialogue with the Malaysian government authorities on a daily basis for immediate relief from the MCO and to resume Mining Operations at Selinsing Gold Mine. In the meantime, security, essential care, maintenance, and environmental monitoring controls are still in place at the mine site. Our operation supplies are adequate for the re-start of production. 

Drilling program at Murchison are progressing as planned. 

Monument has implemented a work from home policy for all administrative and operation functions where applicable to minimize business interruption. As the novel coronavirus continues to rapidly spread, Monument has advised employees to follow proper hygiene and social distancing measures to limit their contact with others in their communities. 

To date, Monument has not had any cases of Covid-19 at its operations in Malaysia and Western Australia, and at its head office in Vancouver.
